Sea Serpents

Jacky's sketch for the tree sculpture.

The dual nature of the tree has inspired her to sculpt entwined sea serpents (or dragons), similar to the Hull Sea Dragon Gamelan.

She is also influenced by an exhibition of 19 century British furniture, which was held at Hull's Whaling Museum.

In particular, she liked a chair whose legs, back and arms were entwined by gilded Chinese-style dragons, or dragon-like serpents.
